We humbly receive a wide range of support for our fundraising efforts. Some are small events held at member's homes, while others are held in larger public settings. Some examples include artistic or educational workshops, themed social gatherings, group tickets to performances, shows, and seasonal events.

June 25th:
Wanderers Hiking Club @ Twin Buttes – It will begin at 8:30 a.m. with suggested donation of $5. Take Highway 160 west from Durango approximately 1.5 miles. Look for a dirt parking lot near the Speedway gas station on the north side of the road, then turn right into the trailhead parking area.
Distance: Approximately 4 miles (2–3 hours)
Difficulty: Easy to moderate (elevation gain: 1,107 feet)
What to bring: Water and walking sticks
Suggested donation: $5

July 11th:
DFA Social Luncheon – In place of our July General meeting, we’ll be having the annual DFA Social Luncheon at the beautiful Kennebec Café in Hesperus.
The Kennebec owner, Barbara Helmer will open the doors to our private event at 11:30 for socializing and a silent auction, followed by a delicious lunch. The cost is $55 per person and includes your choice of entrée, nonalcoholic beverages (coffee, tea, lemonade), a glass of wine, Kennebec Café’s famous carrot cake, tax, and gratuity.
Social Luncheon Entrée Choices:
• Grilled Salmon Salad
• Chicken Pot Pie
• Chicken Salad with Grilled Beets
To reserve your spot, mail your check and entrée selection to Georgeann Reitz, P.O. Box 1281, Durango, CO 81302. Reservations must be confirmed by July 7th. Guests are welcome, so invite a friend and join us for a fun summer afternoon!

September 7th:
Escape to Margaritaville! Save the date for our Escape to Margaritaville Fundraiser @ Kay Hatterman’s home! We had so much fun two years ago that we decided to bring this favorite event back! What could be better than burgers, margaritas, and great friends? More details will be shared as the event gets closer.
September 10th:
General Meeting @ 10:30 a.m. to be held at the Durango and Silverton Railroad Museum (private tour of the museum will follow the meeting).
