Thank you for you for your interest in Durango Friends of the Arts. Our mission as a 501(c)3 is to offer financial support for the arts in our community. We host many fundraising events annually to generate funds in the form of grant money which we award to various nonprofit organizations, individuals, and schools for art-related programs. Lasting friendships are a side benefit for many of our Members.
The beauty of this organization, is you can determine how much or how little you are involved. Business meetings with programs of interest to the arts community, are held every other month – starting in January. These are traditionally held the second Thursday of every other month with the exception of January due to holiday schedules. Guests are always welcome at these meetings and it’s a great way to get acquainted with others who have a common interest in supporting the arts in our community.
Since our inception, Durango Friends of the Arts (DFA) has granted well over half a million dollars in grants for our community. I think you’ll find membership and your involvement extremely gratifying.
