WHAT: General Members’ Meeting

WHEN: September 10th, 6:30 PM

WHERE: Strater Hotel

   Hi Everyone,  September 10th is a general meeting for the DFA membership.  Tina Marie, our programs chairperson has set up our Grant’s recipients meeting at the Strater.  Dinner at 5:30, Meeting at 6:30 with Presentations at 7:00 PM  It is your choice to attend dinner or not.  Your spouses are also welcome.  It will be a Buffet supper. RSVP to Emily at the Strater Hotel: espencer@strater.com to attend the Buffet.

 Susan Welty has invited all the recipients to attend as well.  Last year we had 99.9% of our grant recipients attend and do a short presentation about their projects.  It was fantistic to listen to.  We hope you all come…The meeting will start at 7:00 PM

 Hope to see all of you there.  I am sure it will be entertaining. enlightening and informative.

Hi Everyone. Can’t believe we are in August now. Where does the time go? Well we have a lot coming ahead of us for you to all participate in and all of it sounds fantistic and fun…Hopefully you all can do everything and we can raise a lot of money for our grants fund. With not having our annual Luncheon, we are down on raising grant funds, so let’s raise some more…

First I would like to thank Joann and her committee who did an outstanding job. Here is a note from Joann. She would like to hear from you..

 Hello Ladies I just want to let all of you know that we sold $470.00 worth of pies last Saturday at the Farmer’s Market and $30.00 in cookbooks. $500.00 on a Saturday with pretty minimal effort. Thanks to all of you who helped out. DFA needs more fund raisers. How about a bake sale in November at First National? I’ll see what I can arrange. Last June we sold $400.00 at the bank. I’m sure they would be happy to have us back again. Thanks again for all your efforts. JoAnn

Next Fundraising Event coming up is the TEA…..

It is at Mary Orsini’s lovely home and should be as delightful as last year’s. Her garden should be a rainbow of colors and delightful plants. I know the food is going to be delicious…..The date is set for August 22nd at 11 am until approximately 1:30…

Your check of $35.00 is your reservation. You are welcome to ask your friends to come and join you. Of course there will be tea and scones plus other goodies….Questions, Carol Treat 375 7781 or Mary Orsini 382-2612….

Membership dues support the Durango Friends of the Arts administrative costs that allow the organization to raise money throughout the year to support arts projects.

Membership dues are:

  • $35 for individuals
  • $50 for couples/families
  • $75 for businesses (includes 2 memberships)
  • Free for those over 80 years old

General membership meetings are the second Thursday of January, March, May, July, September and November. They are open to the public.
